Champagne Float Hawaii Style

Saturday, April 7, 2007

Our vacation studio in Kailua was near perfect- just steps away from the beach, included wi fi, a near by restaurant and deli, fresh brewed coffee at our finger tips, and yet?
the proximity of island fruits was making me miss my blender dearly.

I love fresh fruit, don’t get me wrong, but succulent pineapples, soft papaya, and fragrant mangos give me an itchy blender finger!

I extinguished this desire with a pair of Tropilicious brand sorbets stashed in our vacation studio’s freezer: icy honey scented lychee and smooth glowing mango. Cradled with a sliver of vanilla ice cream, we found ourselves in a happy fruity taste bud dance.

When paired with champagne, like an ice cream float, these sorbets gave us a happy glow to match the island sunset.
