Have you seen my cat butt mug? It’s one of my favorite coffee cups.
As any owner of a black cat knows, they have prominent tushes that they like to show off.
I bought this mug about a year ago at the Sur La Table up in Portland near Powells. Having lived with it for an extended amount of time, I am determined that I need to buy more of these mugs, butt alas, I haven’t found them in any near-by stores.
The artist’s name is Albert Dubout. A google search brings an on-line store to order more items of this design, called “Tail Up”.
Dubout is a quite prolific artist, whose style has a touch of Dr. Seuss and Robert Crumb.

I just saw this very mug last week at the Harvard Coop, medical school on Longwood Ave. I think the address is 333 Longwood, Boston. You could look on the web site and see if they have it at the main coop, too.
I feel slighted – Jazz, my adorable black cat, isn’t a tush displayer.

Too funny! I’ve got two black cats (and a black dog!) and have lusted after the glass version of these for a couple of years now. Good luck finding them!!

I thank you so much for the link to find,Dubout “Tail Up” mugs and other cool findings. I bought this mug 4 years ago for my brother n law and my sister accidental broke it and it has taken me years to find it again. Thanks I am giving a complete set for Christmas this year!
